What is the 50 Ideas
Initiative?
50 Progressive Ideas That Pioneer Change is the development plan and procedure for the 2008 Kansas Republican Party Platform. This plan seeks to gather input from ordinary Kansans on visionary changes to Kansas government. The process we are embarking upon is not about hidden agendas. It is about displaying leadership, listening to our fellow Kansans and then being accountable to them for the ideas they propose. These ideas won’t fall on deaf ears. They will be taken to Topeka where Kansans can hold their elected officials accountable as we seek to enact these solutions into law.
How can I get involved?
You can get involved in many different ways. The first way you can become part of our effort is to submit you own idea(s) for ways to Kansas government better. You can do that by clicking here. Second you can sign up to receive regular updates about our work and progress. Third, you can tell your friends about our efforts and finally you can donate to the efforts of the Kansas Republican Party.
What is an IdeaRaiser?
An IdeaRaiser is essentially a town hall meeting where people can gather to share ideas and brainstorm about ways to change Kansas and impact the future of our great state. All the ideas proposed at IdeaRaisers are then submitted to the Platform Committee for their consideration as part of the final platform to be approved by the Kansas Republican Party State Committee in 2008.
Can I schedule an IdeaRaiser?
If you are interested in potentially having an IdeaRaiser just drop us an email and let us know. We will get back with you about the possibility of scheduling one in your area right away.
What kinds of Ideas are you looking for?
Any idea which is innovative, affects the future of Kansas government and could be enacted into law by the Kansas Legislature is exactly what we need. What we aren't looking for is generic proposals or recommendations on changing federal law. For example we want ideas more specific than just "reduce taxes", but rather a specific tax which should be reduced or eliminated and why that should be considered.
